What cookies and browser storage do

Cookies are small values a website can store in your browser and receive with later requests. Session storage is different: it holds information within a browser tab and does not automatically send it with webpage requests. Both can be used to remember an interface choice, although they have different lifetimes and behaviour.

Storage used on this website

The portfolio application does not set advertising, analytics or account cookies. It uses the following session-storage value for the homepage introduction:

1xtechs.entry Session storage	Records that the cinematic introduction has been shown, so it can be shortened on a return visit within the same tab. The value is a simple flag and contains no contact information.	The browser tab’s session. Browser session-restore features may restore it.

This flag is read by the homepage interface. It is not used to identify you across websites, analyse your browsing or target advertising. Blocking it does not prevent access to the website; the introduction may simply appear again.

Enquiry form

Information entered into the enquiry form is held in the current page until you submit it. A successful submission sends the enquiry to our server, where it is stored for review and response. We do not store the brief in cookies, local storage or session storage. Browser autofill is controlled by your browser settings. Our Privacy Policy describes how submitted enquiry information is handled.

Analytics, advertising and external content

This website does not load optional audience analytics, advertising pixels, social tracking widgets or live embeds of the featured project sites. Project images and fonts are delivered as local assets. A screenshot of a client’s website is an image; it does not run that website’s scripts or install its cookies.

Following a live project link opens a separate website, which may use its own cookies and tracking technologies. Those practices are governed by that website’s policies. Technical processing involved in hosting this portfolio is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your controls

You can clear site data or block browser storage through your browser’s privacy settings. Closing the tab normally ends its session storage, subject to browser restore behaviour. Clearing cookies alone may not clear session storage, so use the browser’s site-data controls when you want to remove both.

The site does not offer an “accept all” choice because it does not deploy optional tracking for you to accept. If optional tracking is introduced, this policy and the relevant controls will be updated, and consent will be requested where required before those technologies are used.
